Senior Somatologist Durbanville

A professional salon in Durbanville is looking for an experienced Senior Somatologist to join their team.

Please Note: This position is based in an outlying area of Durbanville and is not ideally suited to candidates who rely solely on public transport. Reliable transport and consistent access to the workplace are essential.

The successful candidate will play an important role in the success and growth of the salon and should be comfortable taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the salon and supporting the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced beauty and aesthetic treatments

• Conduct client consultations and recommend appropriate treatments

• Maintain a high standard of client service

• Lead and support the salon team

• Take responsibility for day-to-day decisions within the salon

• Assist with growing and retaining the client base

• Encourage a positive and productive team environment

• Promote treatments and services

• Maintain professional treatment and hygiene standards

• Take ownership of the salon's performance and client experience

Required Skills & Experience

• Relevant Somatology / Beauty Therapy qualification

• Solid experience in a professional salon environment

• Advanced facial experience

• Dermaplaning

• Microneedling

• Laser hair removal

• Experience with advanced aesthetic treatments

• Strong communication skills

• Previous leadership / supervisory experience advantageous

• Ability to make decisions independently

• Strong client relationship-building ability
