Key Responsibilities
- Prepare new business quotations and process policy amendments
- Develop and issue insurance policies
- Review insurance applications for accuracy and completeness
- Calculate premiums
- Explain policy terms, conditions, and offer guidance on risk management to clients
- Manage overdue accounts and follow up on payments
- Retain policies and manage cancellations where necessary
- Oversee annual policy renewals and reviews
- Maintain accurate records and manage documentation
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient processes
- Participate in ongoing learning and development
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and service level agreements
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years’ commercial underwriting experience in a binder broker environment
- RE5 certificate, relevant NQF qualification, and up-to-date CPD points required
- Experience with Cardinal C360 software is essential
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must have own reliable transport
