Job Summary
A new start up salon in Cape Town is looking for 2 x Shampoo / Wash Bowl Assistants to join their team. The successful candidates will be SA citizens with Grade 12 and at least 1 years’ experience as a Shampoo / Wash Bowl Assistant.
Requirements:
· Grade 12
· Certificate in hairdressing (advantage)
· Open to learning new skills
· Minimum 1 years’ experience as a washer
· Good personal hygiene & grooming
· Able to work under pressure without supervision
· SA citizen
Working Hours:
· Monday to Saturday
· Closed Sunday
Responsibilities:
· Meet and greet clients
· Prepare shampoos and products
· Set up shampoo area
· Wash hair
· Apply conditioner
· Understand and recommend hair care products
· Gently blow dry hair / remove excess water
· Assist hair stylist with various tasks
· Assist at reception, i.e. receive guests, schedule bookings
· Assist with cleaning duties
