Occupational Health Nurse
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all legal requirements for the operation of the clinic are adhered to
- Responsible for providing an efficient Occupational Health service for employees and compliance with all relevant statutory requirements
- Maintain a schedule for periodic medicals to be performed
- Conduct pre-employment, periodic and exit medicals in accordance to the SOP's
- Maintain the COID claims register and related documentation
- Facilitate and conduct accident investigations and propose mitigation measures
- Identify and report on health matters, incidents, accidents and trends
- Coach employees on basic PPE and Food Safety Awareness
- Equip the clinic to deal with all foreseeable medical emergencies
- 100% accurate completion of all Clinic records
- Maintain professional working relationships
Minimum Requirements:
- The qualification of B Curr or a Diploma in Nursing
- Current registration as Registered Nurse with SANC
- Diploma in Occupational Health
- Certificate in Audiometry and Spirometry
- Three years’ experience in an Occupational Health environment
- A certificate in Family Planning, SASOHN registration is advantageous
- Computer literacy at intermediate level
This position requires the working of shifts on a rotational basis, ensuring 24/7 Clinic coverage
Shift times alter from week to week and include the working of night shifts and weekend work
