Job Title : Artisan hands X 18 (Casual Pool)
Grade : A3
Reports to : Artisans / Foremen
Department : Engineering
Main purpose of the job
- Assist the artisan by stripping and cleaning machinery and identifying damage parts in machinery to streamline production
- Identify and hand over tools requested by the artisan to perform tasks in a timely manner
- Maintain checks over artisans’ tools by using the tool sheet to ensure tools are in good condition
- Carry out lawful instruction given by the artisan/foreman.
- General housekeeping to ensure the area of work is always clean and safe
- Complying and enforcing compliance of all safety standards (ISO, SHE and HACCP)
Qualifications and Experience
- Matric
- N2 would be an advantage
- 1 year working experience in an engineering environment would be an advantage.
Personal Qualities
- The ideal candidate must be honest, must be a hard worker, have traceable references and be able to work well in a team.
