Provide continuous assistance to managers and employees in the Company with respect to HR Policies and Procedures including employee relations, engagement, recruitment, benefits, legislation, wellness and health and safety programs. Ensure that all employee files and other legislative aspects are beyond reproach.
Applicable Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources, Organisational /Industrial Psychology or People
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the same or similar position
Familiar with all legislature and amendments with regards to Human Resources (LRA, BCEA, EEA,
SDA, OHSA, COIDA)
Familiarity with Sectoral Determination 14 advantageous
Familiar with VIP Premier Payroll System
Valid Driver’s license
Level 2 minimum Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook in particular)
Training and development
Assist the managers with the Development Plans of their employees
Maintain the database for the Skills Development and Training information
Run the Induction Program for all new staff members in VNL Hospitality.
Ensure that the Induction Program is followed by all Products
Track that all probationary reviews with employees are done on time and correctly
Ensure that the correct Recruitment Process is followed for all new recruits and internal promotions/transfers in the Company
Act as liaison with the dedicated recruitment consultants of the company
Review all applications, reading carefully and evaluating presented qualifications.
Contact applicants with the highest potential to schedule in-person interviews.
Perform interviews carefully and intentionally, asking in-depth questions and listening to the answers carefully while taking details notes.

Assist in maintaining the compensation standards set by the company
Ensure that the Purchase Order Procedure is followed at all times
Assist the managers to remain within the budgets of their man plan
Ensure that the dress code procedures for your department is in place and that all employees are neat and tidy.
Ensure that fair and equitable discipline is applied.
Assist the managers in maintaining their staff files.
Ensure leave planners and policies are followed
Assist with management of the Employment Equity, Skills Development and BBBEE statutory compliance
Organise the quarterly Employment Equity Forum Meetings
Manage the Employment Equity Forum representations
Provide Support to the Group HR Manager
Maintain an open-door policy with all employees to improve employee engagement and employee relations.
Participate in HR networks and community programs
Develop PR publications on the benefits and opportunities available for staff members
