Role Overview
Our client within the air conditioning industry is seeking an experienced and well‑skilled Airconditioning Installer in the Pretoria/Centurion area. This role focuses on the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of small unitary air‑conditioning systems (under 18Kw).
Qualifications
- Certificate for refrigerant gas handling (mandatory).
- Solid knowledge of refrigeration basics: pressures, temperatures, and leak detection.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of installation and commissioning of small type unitary air‑conditioning systems.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot faults in split systems.
- Exposure to midwall, cassettes, under‑ceiling, and ducted units.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Install and commission small unitary systems (<18Kw).
- Perform brazing, wiring controls, and troubleshooting.
- Apply basic electrical knowledge (up to 20 volts).
- Ensure compliance with refrigerant handling and safety standards.
- Maintain reliability and professional conduct (sober habits required).
Tools & Competencies
- Proficiency with gauges, vacuums, and recovery machines.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving ability.
- Sound electrical background advantageous.
