Our client in Durban has a permanent role available for a Business Development Manager (air and sea) - Global Transport & Logistics (Freight Forwarding Sales).
This is a senior role - offering an excellent basic salary plus commission.
Purpose of the role: is to secure new business opportunities within the Freight Forwarding environment. This role will be expected to manage an effective pipeline through the designated CRM system and deliver on their revenue commitments.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage an effective Sales Pipeline that is documented in MS Dynamics
Manage weekly Productivity Stats
5 x New Business calls per week
5 x follow up "retention" calls per week
2 x hours canvassing
All of the above, documented on the CRM system
Manage monthly GP reports
Manage Quarterly Commission reports
Annual Business strategy documenting how to revenue numbers will be achieved for the financial year
