Job Summary
We are looking for a mature, responsible, and caring childcare companion for a single mother with three primary school children. As a Childcare Assistant, you will be responsible for providing quality childcare, creating a safe and nurturing environment, and assisting with daily routines and activities. Duties include supervising children, maintaining a clean environment, and helping with educational and recreational activities.The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, excellent communication skills, patience, and a positive attitude. Position Requirements* Mature female candidate preferred
* Retired teacher or previous childcare experience advantageous
* Valid driver’s license essential
* Trustworthy, dependable, and nurturing personality
* Must be flexible and available on short notice when required
* Non-smoker preferred
* Comfortable living in the family home when the mother travels
Position Responsibilities
* Sleep in and care for the children when the mother travels to Johannesburg every second week
* Assist with morning routines and school preparation
* Transport children to and from school
* Supervise and wait for children during extra mural activities
* Ensure children are safe, cared for, and following routines
* Provide general companionship and support in the household
* Assist with homework or schoolwork if able to do so (not essential)
* Basic cooking skills would be beneficial, although cooking will not generally be required
