Job Purpose

The Purpose of the role is to implement the Tier 3 Sub-D / Main Market strategy at retail level. The primary purpose of the role is to ensure targeted coverage, sales, distribution and retail presence objectives are met. The channel is a must win channel and strategic importance to the company and its principals.

Key Responsibilities

• Consistent development and updating the retail outlet universe database
• Consistent achieving of coverage, sales, numeric distribution and in store communication objectives
• Archiving of the trade coverage plan
• On time reporting of daily administration objectives
• Implementation of all merchandising initiatives according to determined standards
• Responsible for all company resources on a daily basis i.e. Vehicles, POS, Merchandising material, Stock, mobile phone
• The implementation of promotions when applicable
• Field any trade related issues or queries at store level
• Provide ongoing market intelligence to management

Job Requirements

• Completed Matric or equivalent, Accredited by SAQA
• 1- 3 years Field Sales experience *from an informal Trade*
• Own Vehicle and a valid driver's license
• Must have met set targets for a defined period
• Must be a local and reside in the relevant area of operation
• Basic Computer Skills (MS Outlook, MS Office)
• Good Communication Skills
• Attention to detail
• Basic Numeric Skills

Technical Manager required for a large FMCG company based in Queenstown, Eastern Cape

Key Performance Areas:

• ISO45001 implementation and compliance.
• FSSC22000 accreditation and compliance.
• Cost management (Control maintenance and CAPEX budgets).
• Staff supervision and training.
• Machine efficiencies, plant utilization.
• Preventative, scheduled maintenance planning and execution.
• Total asset care which includes facility maintenance.

Minimum requirements:

• B-Eng, BSc Electrical or BSc Mechanical (GCC Factories advantageous).
• Min 5 years’ experience in a technical lead role in a FMCG environment (high speed packaging advantageous).
• A proven leader with exceptional management skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• High business acumen and ability to work under pressure.
• Decisive decision making and ability to work to deadlines.
• Superior proficiency in computer applications (Krones Site Pilot and Asset management advantageous).
• Established relationships and networks with stakeholders in the machine supply chain.
• Exceptional fault-finding & diagnostic skills.
• Demonstrated maintenance planning, implementation, and control.

One of our clients in the FMCG sector is looking for a Bakery Manager for their Bakery Department, in East London, in the Retail Food industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and support the bakery team and initiatives.
• Assist in bakery and deli training and merchandising.
• Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with your team and encourage mutual trust, respect and cooperation.
• Assist and care for co-workers and suppliers.
• Direct, drive and meet sales with a goal of increased profitability growth.
• Purchasing, management and control of inventory; stock checks; exercise the first in first out principal and control wastage.
• Ensure the bakery management team exercise hygiene control and maintain excellent housekeeping protocols in compliance with health departments.
• Serve as the leader, role model and coach to bakery team.
• Share current industry trends and changes with retailers.
• Administration: Signing off on invoices, timesheets and checklists, draft duty roster.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years management experience within the baking industry.
• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of bakery products.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Coping under pressure and setbacks.
• Knowledge of bakery operations & hygiene and safety standards.
• Operation of bakery equipment.
