Job Summary
Our national client operating in the Manufacturing and Distribution Industry, is seeking to employ a Regional Sales Manager to their team based in Belville, Cape Town.
A proudly South African manufacturer and distributor of high-quality sauces, marinades, dressings, spices, spice blends, herbs and garlic products.
With a strong footprint in national FMCG retail and hospitality sectors.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ proven sales experience in the FMCG sector, preferably food products.
- Strong regional network within Western Cape retail and hospitality sectors.
- Experience managing and leading a field sales team.
- Solid commercial, negotiation, and deal-closing skills.
- Strong planning, reporting, and territory management capability.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Entrepreneurial, results-driven mindset.
- Analytical thinking and sound decision-making ability.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Manage and grow sales across established retail and hospitality customers in the region.
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies aligned to national objectives.
- Expand distribution through new business development and product penetration.
- Lead, mentor, and performance-manage sales representatives where applicable.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, store managers, distributors, and key hospitality accounts.
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and market trends to identify opportunities.
- Deliver accurate sales forecasts, reports, and KPI tracking.
- Ensure excellent in-store execution, including availability, visibility, promotions, and merchandising.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Finance to support service delivery and product launches.
- Manage regional budgets and ensure cost-effective operations.
- Represent the business at trade shows, product demonstrations, and customer events.
