HR Logistics Controller
Location: Western Cape Employment Type: Full-Time Department: Human Resources Reports to: Human Resources Logistics Manager
Position OverviewA well-established organisation is seeking an experienced HR Logistics Controller to provide a full generalist Human Resources service, primarily within its Operations and Logistics departments.
The successful candidate will support management and employees throughout the employment lifecycle, with a strong focus on recruitment, employee relations, industrial relations, performance management, employee engagement and compliance.
Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment and Employee LifecycleFacilitate recruitment and selection processes.
Coordinate employee induction and onboarding.
Manage appointments, transfers and promotions.
Ensure all employee lifecycle processes comply with company policy and legislation.
Maintain accurate and complete employee documentation.
Employee and Industrial RelationsSupport the operational implementation of the company’s code of conduct.
Provide industrial relations guidance to management and employees.
Participate in and guide management through disciplinary processes.
Represent the organisation at CCMA conciliations and arbitrations.
Maintain regular communication with key stakeholders.
Assist with the resolution of employee-related concerns and queries.
Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation.
Performance and Employee EngagementPartner with line management in driving performance management processes.
Promote employee engagement, company culture and organisational values.
Support continuous improvement and staff empowerment initiatives.
Assist with team development interventions.
Build positive working relationships across the Operations and Logistics departments.
HR Administration and SupportAdminister employee benefits.
Monitor adherence to HR policies and procedures.
Partner with the wider HR team and key company stakeholders.
Participate in HR projects and ad hoc initiatives.
Provide general HR support as requested by the HR Manager.
Minimum RequirementsThree-year tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management.
Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a generalist HR role.
Recruitment experience is essential.
Industrial relations experience is essential.
Experience representing an employer at CCMA conciliations and arbitrations.
Good understanding of South African labour legislation.
Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving ability.
Advantageous ExperienceExperience supporting Operations, Warehousing or Logistics departments.
Exposure to a large workforce or operational environment.
Experience managing disciplinary and performance processes.
