We have a vacancy for a Retail Butchery Manager in Mafikeng. You will be responsible for the operation and management of the in-store butchery and delicatessen, including selection, ordering, preparation, display, packaging, and sale of meat to consumers and commercial customers.
The successful candidate will have at least 4years' experience in a management position within a butchery environment with extensive knowledge of health and quality standards, regulations around using meat extenders, labelling practices, waste and shrinkage, stock rotation, and managing stocktakes.
Main duties include but are not limited to:
• Estimate requirements and order meat supplies, negotiate with representatives from supply companies to determine order details.
• Receive, inspect, record, and store meat upon delivery.
• Wrap, inspect, label, and price cuts of meat.
• Ensure all hygiene and safety standards are met and keep up to date with industry standards.
