Job Summary
The supervisor is iable for managing, directing and organizing the replenishment and intake of the stock of the business and conducting all relating administration activities smoothly.
The Key Functional Responsibilities:
- Account for and control of all movement of inventory within the warehouse
- Plan daily space
- WMS
- Carry out wall to wall stock counts
- Carry out cycle stock Investigate stock variance.
- Ensure all stock is properly labelled at all times and is in its designated
- Prepare monthly/weekly and annual inventory
- Supervise by review the accuracy of inventory records
- Manage inventory accuracy through monitoring and then auditing of daily warehouse activities, cycle counts and stock takes to verify results.
- Liaise with customer service and warehouse personnel and other relevant parties regarding the inventory status.
- Accurately record stock figures daily with
- Carry out the weekly rainbow reconciliation.
- Carry out the bread and chill buffer reconciliation.
- Ensure that employees have adequate safety clothing and equipment by auditing safety clothing requirements and maintain safety clothing employee record.
- Manage employee’s safe working
- Discipline employees when required by providing counselling and issuing warnings
- Ensure staff productivity and KPI’s are met
- Plan, schedule, organize and direct work, train personnel and discipline
- Time and attendance records when required
- Ensure that goals are defined by documenting team goals on a monthly basis
- Provide teams with feedback on their performance by preparing a weekly summary of data to review with the team, individuals and managers.
- Reward and recognize good performance
- Ensure that training needs and plans exist for all members of the team
- Manage returns to all suppliers
- Manage non-conforming products
- Ensure equipment is available and that the equipment is in good working order by ensuring that gloves are available, probes are operational, alcohol wipes are available, tape and labels are available and by arranging maintenance of probes.

- Liaise with customer service and warehouse personnel and other relevant parties regarding the inventory status.
- Accurately record stock figures daily with investigations
- Inventory information supplied
- Ensure that daily stock and inventory information is supplied to customers
- Final Variances
- Generating a Final Variance and communicating to the Inventory Manager before
- Investigate any inventory discrepancies
- Investigate any discrepancy between the put away sheet and the GRV
- Investigate immediately
- If any pallet location in the spread sheet already contains data
Minimum requirements
- Grade 12 with relevant Tertiary Degree would be advantageous
- 3-5years experience in Warehousing & Distribution Inventory Management
- 3 years’ experience in Inventory Control Specialization
- Must come from a Warehousing & Distribution, Transport, FMCG, QSR or Similar
- MS Office skills with intermediate MS Excel
