Job Summary
This role is suited to a seasoned payroll professional who is confident managing complex payroll processes, statutory submissions, and employee queries with accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full end-to-end payroll processing on a monthly basis
- Application and management of tax directives
- Completion of statutory submissions including PAYE, UIF, and SDL
- Preparation and submission of IRP501 reconciliations and year-end processes via EasyFile
- Handling payroll-related employee queries
- Administration of garnishees and maintenance orders
- Managing medical aid, provident fund, funeral fund, and benefit administration
- Ensuring accurate and timeous capturing of employee data (engagements, terminations, transfers, promotions)
- Reconciliation of medical aid, provident fund, MIBCO, and other third-party payments
- Ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls
- Maintaining high levels of service delivery and internal stakeholder satisfaction
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Diploma in Accounting, HR, or a relevant qualification (essential)
- 5+ years’ payroll processing experience (essential)
- Sage VIP People certification (non-negotiable)
- Strong knowledge of labour legislation, BCEA, and SARS PAYE requirements
- Solid Microsoft Office proficiency
- Excellent attention to detail and strong numeracy skills
- Highly organised with strong time management and prioritisation ability
- Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills
