As the Group Reporting Accountant, you will play a key role within the Group Finance function, supporting the delivery of accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions. Working closely with senior finance leadership and country finance teams, you will ensure reporting consistency, compliance with IFRS, and the ongoing development of robust reporting processes and controls.
This role offers exposure to complex multi-currency consolidations, technical accounting matters, group audits, budgeting and forecasting initiatives, ERP systems, and strategic finance projects. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidated management accounts and financial statements.
- Review reporting submitted by country finance teams, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
- Research and resolve complex technical accounting matters in accordance with IFRS and applicable legislation.
- Assist with the management of the year-end external audit process and coordinate requests across multiple entities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and group-level variance analysis.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and enhancements to the financial control environment.
- Assist with statutory, tax, and secretarial reporting requirements across the group.
- Develop standardised reporting templates, tools, and processes for use across multiple countries.
- Provide guidance and training to finance teams on financial reporting best practices.
- Support the administration and optimisation of finance systems and ERP platforms.
- Assist with group reporting projects and strategic finance initiatives.
Job Experience and Skills Required
- Registered CA(SA) or AGA(SA).
- Previous experience within a financial reporting, group reporting, or consolidation environment.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
- Experience preparing and reviewing consolidated financial statements.
- Experience working with multi-entity and/or multi-currency reporting structures will be advantageous.
- Exposure to ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar platforms would be beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and reporting capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
