Financial Accountant to join a multinational business where you'll gain exposure to listed group reporting, IFRS technical accounting, consolidations, FP&A, and strategic finance initiatives.
This role is ideally suited to a recently qualified finance professional who is eager to broaden their commercial exposure while developing strong technical expertise within a sophisticated reporting environment. Working alongside experienced finance leaders, you will play a key role in financial reporting, tax compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support statutory reporting requirements and ensure compliance with reporting standards.
- Contribute to the preparation of financial statements within a listed group environment.
- Apply and support IFRS reporting requirements, including exposure to complex technical accounting matters such as IFRS 3.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial information across reporting cycles.
Consolidations & Group Reporting
- Support consolidations across multiple entities within the group structure.
- Assist with group reporting processes and intercompany accounting requirements.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of financial information submitted across business units.
- Participate in reporting projects aimed at improving reporting efficiency and quality.
Tax & Compliance
- Assist with Income Tax and VAT compliance processes.
- Prepare and review tax-related reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Ensure compliance with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Support external audits and liaise with auditors where required.
FP&A, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple business units.
- Perform variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and actual results.
- Support financial planning and analysis activities through meaningful reporting and insights.
- Analyse business performance and identify trends that impact profitability and growth.
Financial Control & Process Improvement
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support financial control, governance, and compliance initiatives.
- Assist with continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Contribute to the development of finance processes and reporting frameworks.
Stakeholder Management
- Engage with internal stakeholders across finance and operational teams.
- Support management reporting and provide financial insights where required.
- Collaborate with group finance teams on reporting, audit, and strategic initiatives.
- Build strong working relationships across multiple business units.
Requirements
Qualifications
- BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA(SA), eligible-to-register CA(SA), or candidates with completed articles and strong commercial exposure will be highly regarded.
Experience
- 1-3 years' post-articles experience within a commercial environment.
- Exposure to financial reporting, tax, and management accounting functions.
- Experience within manufacturing, publishing, FMCG, or other complex multi-entity environments will be advantageous.
- Exposure to multinational or listed group environments will be beneficial.
