Duties:
Maintain the general ledger and process financial transactions
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
Perform bank, cash, credit card, debtors, creditors, and balance sheet reconciliations
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Prepare accounts up to trial balance
Assist with month-end and year-end processes
Prepare VAT, tax, and statutory submissions
Assist with SARS reviews, audits, and external audit preparations
Implement and maintain financial controls and processes
Reconcile intercompany balances
Support the CFO and management with ad hoc reporting and analysis
Requirements:
5 to 10 years of relevant accounting experience
Strong knowledge of accounting standards and practices
Proficiency in financial reporting, reconciliation, and month-end processes
Experience with Pastel and Xero accounting software
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
