Job Summary
To oversee the business's financial strategy, ensuring solid financial governance, long-term growth, and sound financial management. The CFO will provide strategic financial knowledge to support executive decision-making and long-term business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement a financial plan that is in line with company goals.
- Supervise forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Make that all tax, regulatory, and IFRS/GAAP regulations are followed.
- Control capital structure, funding methods, and cash flow.
- Oversee internal controls, audit procedures, and risk management.
- Provide financial performance and strategic opportunity advice to the CEO and Board.
- Develop and oversee the finance staff.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Professional qualification (CA(SA), CPA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- MBA or postgraduate qualification (advantageous).
Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in CFO/FD role in FMCG or Manufacturing business with turnover R300m plus per annum
- Proven history in financial strategy, planning, and execution.
- Strong experience in financial reporting, compliance, and risk management.
