Property Financial Manager | Luxury Safari Lodge | Sabi Sands Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Financial Manager for a luxury safari lodge in the Sabi Sands. This hybrid role involves working on property for part of the week and remotely for the remainder, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of South Africa’s premier safari destinations by ensuring financial excellence while supporting unforgettable guest experiences. Minimum Requirements: • Apply Below degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field • Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance, with at least 2 years in the hospitality sector • Advanced proficiency in MS Office; experience with Sage Software (Intacct preferred) • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills • Meticulous attention to detail and high level of accuracy • Proactive, collaborative, and able to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders Key Responsibilities: Financial Operations & Controls • Oversee all property finance functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with SOPs • Review and approve purchase orders, ensuring correct allocation and budget adherence • Manage cash flow, including petty cash and credit card reconciliations • Validate daily revenue submissions and ensure timely, accurate reporting • Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register and operating equipment assets • Oversee inventory management, including variance recounts, workbook validation, and final sign-off on control systems Budgeting; Reporting & Analysis • Lead the annual property-level budget process in collaboration with department heads • Prepare and analyze management accounts, providing variance analysis and actionable insights • Produce flash and project reports to support business decision-making • Support pricing of extras and ancillary services at property level Audit; Compliance & Internal Controls • Ensure robust internal controls are in place and adhered to • Assist with annual external audits and ensure all supporting documentation is accurate and available Collaboration & Stakeholder Management • Act as the key finance link between the property and support office team • Work closely with HR on gratuities, staff deductions, and payroll-related finance matters • Support operational teams with financial guidance and training as needed Personal Attributes & Guest Experience Focus: • Excellent attention to detail and guest-focused mindset • Strong written and verbal communication skills, practicing honest communication • Team player with positive attitude, emotional control, and solution-focused approach • Excellent time management, self-discipline, and interpersonal skills • Proactive, adaptable, flexible, and committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences • Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining professionalism and care Salary: Negotiable DOE | Hybrid Role This is a rare opportunity to join a prestigious luxury safari lodge in the Sabi Sands, playing a pivotal role in maintaining financial integrity and operational excellence while contributing to unforgettable guest experiences.
