Head of Finance | Windhoek, Namibia (Onsite)

Hire Resolve is seeking a high-caliber, experienced Head of Finance for a dynamic leader operating in the renewable energy and solar PV infrastructure sector based in Windhoek, Namibia. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this executive operational role is responsible for overseeing group financial reporting, international tax compliance, multi-currency treasury, and strategic financial planning across all entities operating in the SADC region. The position directly leads two Finance Managers and their broader accounting teams to ensure operational governance, robust financial sustainability, and audit excellence.

Key Performance Areas:

• Group Reporting & Consolidation: Take complete ownership of complete annual financial statements preparation under IFRS, foreign currency translation (IAS 21), intercompany eliminations, and group consolidation (IFRS 10) across multi-jurisdictional SADC entities.

• External Audit Management: Plan, manage, and coordinate the annual group external audit process, serving as the primary liaison to external auditors and resolving complex technical accounting matters.

• International Tax & Compliance: Manage Group-wide tax returns (income tax, import VAT, withholding taxes) while overseeing cross-border transfer pricing, permanent establishment risks, and multi-country regulatory compliance.

• FP&A & Project Financial Control: Coordinate consolidated group budgets and rolling re-forecasts. Monitor project-specific Bill of Quantities (BOQ), cost-to-complete metrics, expected margins, and invoicing schedules alongside operational project teams.

• Treasury, Cash Flow & Funding: Manage multi-currency foreign exchange exposures, optimize group cash management, and assist the CFO in structuring debt funding proposals and project financing models.

• Team Leadership & System Optimization: Lead and mentor finance managers and staff accountants. Drive continuous improvement in financial controls and accounting software efficiency, incorporating modern AI productivity tools.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance paired with a relevant Postgraduate qualification.

• Professional Qualifications: CA(NAM) or CA(SA) (or equivalent chartered qualification) is a distinct advantage.

• Experience: 3–5 years of senior finance leadership experience within a group structure. Demonstrated exposure to multi-currency consolidation, foreign entity accounting, cross-border tax, and external audit management.

• Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of IFRS (specifically IFRS 10 & IAS 21), advanced MS Excel skills, and familiarity with AI productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot). QuickBooks exposure is beneficial.

• Attributes: Exceptional precision, strong analytical and diagnostic capabilities, deadline orientation under reporting pressure, and polished executive communication skills.
