Job Summary
A well-established financial services group operating across Africa is seeking a General Manager to lead its microfinance operations in Lesotho. This is a senior leadership role suited to a results-driven, hands-on manager with strong operational and people management experience.
Key Responsibilities

Overall day-to-day management of the business operations

Drive loan book growth, sales performance, and collections

Oversee deal processing, compliance, audits, and turnaround times

Lead, manage, and develop staff performance and KPIs
-
Ensure strong governance, systems control, and operational efficiency

Support the CEO and act in their absence when required
Minimum Requirements
-
Must be a citizen of Lesotho
-
Bachelor of Commerce or relevant tertiary qualification (essential)

5–10 years’ relevant experience in financial services
-
Microfinance experience (advantageous)

Strong knowledge of Lesotho lending and microfinance legislation
-
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)

Proven leadership, analytical, and problem-solving ability
-
Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel
