? ?? ??????????? ??????????? is assisting a luxury beach resort in Zanzibar in sourcing an experienced ????????? ??????????. Our client operates a well-established luxury resort on the island of Zanzibar, Tanzania, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences across rooms, food and beverage, spa and boutique operations. The property is looking for a financially astute and hands-on leader to take full ownership of the resort's financial function. The Financial Controller will oversee all financial operations of the resort, partnering closely with the General Manager and department heads to maximise profitability, safeguard assets and support strategic business decisions. This is a senior role requiring strong technical accounting skills, commercial acumen and the ability to implement and maintain rigorous controls in a luxury hospitality environment. ??? ???????????????? Oversee all financial operations, including preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reports. Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, supporting department managers with financial planning and cost control initiatives. Develop; implement and maintain internal control systems, ensuring compliance with Tanzanian tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements. Manage daily cash flow, bank reconciliations, treasury operations and foreign currency transactions. Monitor revenue across all resort outlets, review daily revenue reports, oversee inventory controls and purchasing procedures, and review payroll costs. Coordinate internal and external audits, safeguard company assets and carry out regular spot-checks across all departments. ???????????? Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field; professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA or CA) required. Minimum 7-10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3-5 years as a Financial Controller or senior finance manager in a luxury hotel or resort. All-inclusive resort experience preferred. Experience working in East Africa or island destinations an advantage. Strong knowledge of Tanzanian tax regulations, statutory reporting and internal audit processes. Detail-oriented; analytical and commercially minded, with the ability to work effectively with operational department heads.
