Fetola is looking for a detail-oriented and commercially aware Financial Accountant who combines strong technical expertise with an analytical, problem-solving mindset. What will you do:

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, preparing financial statements, conducting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial and legal regulations. They will take ownership of the day-to-day financial accounting function, support statutory compliance across our entities, and help us produce the reporting that drives decisions at every level of the business.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Budget management for projects – Creating and monitoring the project budget
  
• Statutory Return submission – Submitting returns for entities
  
• Cost tracking – Recording expenses like
  
• Financial reporting – Preparing reports on profitability and performance
  
• Audit & Compliance – Lead financial audits and prepare working papers
  
• Billing and invoicing – Ensuring clients are billed correctly for work
  
• Variance analysis – Comparing actual costs vs. planned budget and explaining differences

Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
  
• Completed SAIPA/CIMA Articles – non negotiable
  
• Min 5 years of accounting experience – non negotiable
  
• Experience in project-based industries (construction, engineering, IT, consulting)
  
• Experience with consolidations
  
• Budgeting and forecasting
  
• Experience in managing team/ leading people
  
• Demonstrated numeric literacy, understanding & use of data analytics is essential.
  
• Excellent spoken, written and interpersonal communication.
  
• Confident, agile, ambitious, and forward – thinking.
  
• Comfort with technology and innovation is essential
  
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
