An established agricultural and food processing business is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the full financial function of its abattoir operations. The role focuses on financial planning, reporting, compliance, cost control, and strategic decision-making to ensure financial sustainability and operational efficiency in a regulated, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full finance function including accounts, budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
Lead financial planning, analysis, and performance monitoring.
Ensure compliance with SARS, SARB, and statutory regulations.
Oversee audit processes, tax compliance, and risk management.
Support business growth through cost control and profitability improvement.
Maintain and optimise ERP and financial systems.
Manage credit control, cash flow, and treasury functions.
Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, driving accountability and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with operations and head office to align financial and business strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
BCom / BTech / BSc in Accounting or Financial Management (CA(SA) advantageous).
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior finance role within manufacturing, agriculture, or FMCG sectors.
Strong understanding of IFRS, taxation, and cost accounting.
Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAGE, Xero) and advanced Excel.
Proven experience with budgeting, financial analysis, and audit coordination.
