Job Summary
Our client has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and is one of the leading advisory firms in Malta. They provide customised solutions to local and international clients.
An exciting opportunity now exists to join this established company, on a full-time, permanent basis as an Audit Senior.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, conducting and ensuring timely completion of audits. They will be expected to contribute towards the development and management of the audit practice.
The successful candidate should be a qualified Chartered Accountant with 3 years of experience, ideally working in a big-4 audit firm.
MAIN RESPONIBILITIES:
- Leading and completing audits and ensuring timely completion of projects
- Contributing towards the development and management of the audit practice
- Maintaining and developing existing client relationships and contributing towards the development of new business opportunities
- Working with other departments (e.g. tax, advisory) to provide coordinated solutions for clients
- Implementing correct audit methodology and risk assessment within the department to mitigate the audit risk while improving skills already implemented within the department
- Conducting timely reviews of complex audits & consolidations
- Ensuring compliance with all audit and framework standards and processes by the audit employees
- Improving audit service to existing clients
EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 3 years of experience, preferably in a big-4 audit firm
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent Microsoft skills
- A team player with a sense of humor
- Schengen Visa will be required, work permits will be provided by the client
