Job Summary
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 / Matric certificate (essential); a bookkeeping certificate/diploma is advantageous.
Minimum 3–5 years' bookkeeping/administration experience.
Proficiency in bookkeeping/accounting software.
Strong numerical, reconciliation, and record-keeping skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, prioritise, and manage own workload to meet deadlines.
Good verbal and written communication skills, able to liaise confidently with Head Office, store staff and customers.
Valid Code B or EB driver's license
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Process day-to-day bookkeeping functions, including debtors, creditors, petty cash, and banking transactions.
Capture and reconcile daily cash-ups, EFT, and card payments against system records.
Prepare and process supplier invoices and payments for approval in line with company procedure.
Manage the debtor's book: statements, and following up on outstanding accounts and collections.
Maintain accurate and organized filing of hire contracts, deposits, credit applications, insurance, and compliance documentation.
Assist with month-end reconciliations and reporting, submitted timeously to the Head of Finance – Company Owned Stores.
Liaise with Head Office finance and accounts teams to ensure accurate and timely submission of required reports.
Provide general administrative support to the Store Manager, including HR administration, leave records, and ordering of stationery/consumables.
Maintain the petty cash float and store asset register.
Assist customers with basic account-related queries when required.
Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and internal financial controls.
