Position: Jnr. SAIPA Accountant
Salary: R35,000 CTC per month
Location: Pretoria
Employment Type: Full-time
We are looking for a Junior SAIPA Accountant to join a dynamic financial services environment in Pretoria. The successful candidate will have recently completed their SAIPA articles and will work closely with the Senior Accountant, assisting with the day-to-day accounting and financial functions of the business.
The company operates within the private credit and asset management sector, providing funding solutions to established mid-market businesses and infrastructure projects, while connecting institutional investors with investment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Senior Accountant with day-to-day accounting functions
Prepare and process accounting entries and journals
Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reporting
Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Assist with accounts payable and receivable
Assist with cash flow monitoring and reporting
Prepare supporting schedules for month-end and year-end reporting
Assist with budgeting and forecasting
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
Assist with audit and statutory requirements
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders where required
Provide general accounting and financial support to the Senior Accountant
Requirements
SAIPA articles completed
Relevant BCom Accounting / Accounting degree or equivalent
Newly qualified or recently completed articles
Strong accounting fundamentals
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Good organisational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently while also supporting a senior team member
Strong communication skills
Professional and willing to learn
