Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full finance function, including month-end, reporting, and reconciliations
- Manage and review management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
- Drive financial performance through analysis of margins, costs, and operational efficiencies
- Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance and accountability
- Strengthen internal controls, processes, and financial governance frameworks
- Partner with operational teams to support decision-making and business growth
- Manage audit processes and ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant regulations
- Oversee working capital management, including inventory, debtors, and creditors
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Education:
- BCom Accounting or equivalent (essential)
- CA(SA) or CIMA highly advantageous
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 to 8 years’ experience in a finance role
- Proven experience within retail, manufacturing, or distribution environments
- Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, and team management
- Experience in managing end-to-end finance operations
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and people management ability
- Advanced Excel and financial systems experience (ERP exposure essential)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Commercial mindset with the ability to influence business decisions
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
