FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT Paarl | Hospitality Industry An established, multi-faceted hospitality destination in Paarl is looking for a strong, hands-on Financial Accountant to take ownership of the full finance function across multiple entities within the group. This is not a “sit back and report” role. We’re looking for someone commercially sharp, detail-obsessed, and confident enough to manage the numbers while guiding the team. You’ll take full responsibility for the financial accounts across four companies, ensuring accurate reporting, clean reconciliations, compliance, and meaningful financial insights that drive smart business decisions. Your world will include monthly management accounts, VAT submissions, fixed asset management, bank and revenue reconciliations, audit preparation, cash flow oversight, and releasing payments. You’ll reconcile revenue to deposits and VAT, manage Yoco and FNB reconciliations, post journals in Xero, produce rental and recovery invoices, and oversee creditors and stock control functions. Beyond the technical delivery, you’ll work closely with department heads on budgets and forecasts, provide variance analysis, identify cost efficiencies, and strengthen financial processes. You’ll mentor junior finance team members and help build a culture of accountability and precision. We’re looking for: A degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/SAIPA/SAICA advantage) Proven experience in hospitality or FMCG Strong Xero experience (non-negotiable) Solid Excel capability High attention to detail with strong analytical thinking Someone comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Lightspeed knowledge is highly advantageous If you enjoy structure, accuracy, and being the financial backbone of a growing hospitality group — this one is for you.
