? Lodge Accountant | Luxury Safari Lodge | Sabi Sands ? Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a detail‑oriented and professionally qualified Lodge Accountant to join a premier private game lodge operation in the iconic Sabi Sands Game Reserve. This role is responsible for the full financial management function across multiple lodge properties, with a strong focus on stock management, compliance, fixed asset control, and operational reporting. ? Package & Benefits Salary: Market‑related, depending on experience ? Location: Sabi Sands, Mpumalanga ? Permanent, full‑time position ? Start date: As soon as possible ? Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analyses, and financial reports Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring supplier accuracy and timely payments Review payroll for accuracy and statutory compliance Manage end‑to‑end stock control across all lodge departments (F&B, housekeeping, maintenance, curio retail) Conduct and coordinate regular stock counts, investigate variances, and implement corrective action Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register, including depreciation and insurance schedules Liaise with auditors and facilitate the annual audit process Ensure compliance with South African legislation and lodge‑specific regulatory requirements Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard lodge assets ✅ Minimum Requirements SAIPA qualification with completed articles and current membership, OR BCom Accounting / Financial Management degree Minimum 3 years’ post‑articles accounting experience (hospitality or lodge environment advantageous) Demonstrated experience in stock management and inventory control Hands‑on experience maintaining fixed asset registers Proficiency in accounting software (Pastel / Sage, Xero; Sage Intacct advantageous) Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modelling) Knowledge of IFRS for SMEs and South African tax legislation Experience with lodge management systems (Semper) advantageous ✨ Ideal Candidate A proactive and ethical accounting professional with strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a bush lodge environment.
