A well-established organisation in the KZN Midlands is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Financial Manager to join its leadership team.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will play a key role in driving financial performance, supporting strategic decision-making, strengthening financial controls, and leading the finance function within a dynamic operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the CFO with the financial and fiscal management of the business.
Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.
Manage budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax legislation and statutory requirements.
Manage VAT and PAYE submissions.
Develop, review and maintain internal controls, policies and procedures.
Analyse financial performance, identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
Provide commercial and financial insights to support business decision-making.
Manage customer costing, pricing reviews and profitability analysis.
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and fixed asset controls.
Coordinate external audits and year-end financial statement preparation.
Minimum Requirements
CA(SA) qualification is essential.
Minimum 5 years' relevant post-qualification finance experience.
Previous experience in a supervisory or management role.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, internal controls and audit processes.
Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, food production, agri-processing or a similar operational environment will be highly advantageous.
Experience working with ERP systems; SAP experience will be advantageous.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong commercial acumen and business understanding.
