Job Summary
Qualification- Bachelor’s Qualification in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role preferably from the chemical manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of debtors and creditors functions
- Experience with bank reconciliations, general ledger processing and intercompany loan accounts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with SAGE ERP accounting systems
- Debtors and creditors full function
- Process and reconcile petty cash
- Manage and reconcile operational floats including motorsport department, driver’s claims, and airtime requirements for logistics
- Prepare and process general journals
- Maintain intercompany loan accounts
- Assist with preparation of service level agreements and rental contracts
- Handle insurance claims, filing, and related correspondence with brokers
- Manage CIPC documentation and annual returns
- Assist with audit requirements
- Liaise with service providers
- Manage printing, stationery orders, and general office administration
- Provide updated FICA information to service providers as required
- Completion of STATS SA questionnaires when required
- Process bank receipts and reconciliations across companies
- Process payments and perform bank reconciliations across companies
- Assist with sales and trading account budgets
- Maintain annual sales and royalties’ schedules
- Calculate and process bad debt provisions
- Handle rebate calculations for major customers
- Support B-BBEE audit requirements
- Prepare audit files and assist with year-end processes
