Reporting to the Financial Manager, you’ll execute and continuously improve core accounting and reporting activities across the finance function. The focus is on accuracy, audit readiness, and dependable management information, while actively driving efficiencies through better systems, stronger reconciliations, and smarter reporting tools.

What You’ll Do
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and reporting in line with IFRS
- Maintain general ledger integrity, including journals, accruals, month-end adjustments, and balance checks
- Compile, reconcile, and submit VAT returns and manage VAT-related queries and audit trails
- Support budgeting and forecasting cycles, including departmental input consolidation and variance analysis
- Produce management reporting and provide insights to support decision-making and business planning
- Maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards to track performance against budget
- Coordinate internal and external audits, compile audit packs, and implement audit recommendations
- Oversee payroll-related accounting, including reconciliations, payroll journals, and statutory obligations
- Review payment requests, strengthen payment controls, and support supplier reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
- Contribute to system enhancements, integrations, automation initiatives, and mentor junior finance team members
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Accounting (postgraduate finance qualification advantageous)
- CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles (essential)
- Minimum 2 years post-articles experience in a corporate finance or accounting role (outside of audit)
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS, VAT, payroll accounting, and statutory submissions (PAYE, UIF, SDL)
- Advanced Excel capability (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas) and Power BI (dashboards, data modelling)
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Sage, Oracle, or similar) and CaseWare financial statement preparation
- A proactive, disciplined approach with close attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset
