We currently offer Permanent/Contract roles where candidates can:

• Work remotely or on-site in Johannesburg or Cape Town.
• Work remotely from Mumbai or Delhi

Our roles are hybrid and work location can be discussed to find the most suitable conditions.

We are looking for a RELEASE ANALYST who will monitor the SDLC and ensure that the tested source code is replicated into the Dev, Test and production environment. While the build is progressing, handle any incidents and in cases of severe incidents make recommendations for Roll Back

Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

• Updates the CAB list with releases due in the current cycle.
• Ensure that the Release Notes are distributed to the correct parties.
• Liaises with impacted parties during the Release Process.
• Track the progress of various development and testing cycles (during the SDLC).
• Validate that testing has been completed, that DB changes have been uploaded and that the Release Notes have been completed.
• Initiate and manage the build process into the production environment. Upload release data into DNA.
• Log and resolve any incidents related to the build process during the build.
• For severe cases recommend roll-back or escalate to the next level.
• Implement any emergency change requests relate to the build.
• Participate in internal forums such as Support Services Work Group and lead work streams, to contribute to the methodology and standards.
• Ensure that knowledge acquired in the Release process is shared within the larger Support community.
• Review records produced by Junior team members and provide recommendations for improvement and enhance processes where applicable.

Education and Experience

Education

• Grade 12, ITIL Foundation, ITIL OSA
• ITIL Services exam passed/ITIL Service Management
• Relevant Tertiary Qualification

Experience

• At least 5 years’ experience in Release Management
• StarTeam, AppCenter, MQ, Inhouse Java and Magic release tools, Windows, Office, SharePoint, Unix, Monitoring tools and editors
• Release Management Process. Familiar with all implemented ITIL processes
