Lead a complex outsourced property services operation where service delivery, commercial performance and client relationships are equally important. This is an opportunity for an experienced operational leader to take ownership of performance, people and service standards within a demanding client environment.
Reporting to the Managing Executive, the General Manager will be responsible for achieving profit contribution while ensuring that contractual service levels and operational standards are consistently met. The role combines strategic planning, financial management, resource allocation, client engagement, performance management and continuous improvement.
You will lead an Operations Manager and Regional Administration Manager and will be expected to build management capability across the operation. Success will require the ability to translate strategic objectives into practical plans, budgets, performance measures and clear accountabilities while maintaining compliance with quality, health, safety and environmental management systems.

What You'll Do
Lead operational planning, staffing, delegation, coordination and decision-making to achieve profit targets and contractual SLAs.
Develop and implement strategic plans informed by technological, operational and financial opportunities.
Establish budgets, performance measures, resource plans and review mechanisms to ensure business objectives are achieved.
Coordinate procurement, production, field and technical service activities with relevant corporate functions.
Establish clear management accountabilities and create an environment that supports information sharing and development.
Maintain strong relationships with customers, employees and other stakeholders while upholding ethical business practices.
Establish and enforce quality and service standards.
Monitor industry developments, benchmarking opportunities and relevant global best practices.
Coach and develop managers and employees to improve capability and performance.
Manage employee relations, workplace conflict and corrective action in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Build the capability of subordinate managers and strengthen overall management effectiveness.
What You Bring
NQF Level 6 to 7 Degree or Advanced Diploma.
Matric or Senior Certificate.
SAFMA Certified Facilities Supervisor professional registration or certification.
Valid South African driver's licence.
At least three years of relevant managerial experience within an outsourced property services environment or client services.
Operational, CRM and financial management capability.
Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, ISO 9001 Quality Management and risk management systems.
Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook.
Strong leadership, coaching and capacity-building capability.
Financial planning, strategic planning, negotiation and process improvement skills.
Strong written and verbal communication and relationship-building ability.
A proactive, deadline-driven approach with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
