External Debt Collector (EDC) Manager

Travel required for vendor visits and bi-annual team events
An established collections environment is seeking an experienced External Debt Collector (EDC) Manager to manage and optimise the performance of outsourced debt collection agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage external debt collection agencies, including onboarding, performance management, and operational reviews
- Monitor agency KPIs, reporting, recoveries, and compliance standards
- Drive portfolio allocation strategies and improve collection performance
- Oversee SLA management, commercial agreements, and stakeholder relationships
- Ensure compliance with NCA, POPIA, FICA, and Debt Collectors Act requirements
- Lead and support the EDC operations team
Requirements
? 10+ years’ experience in debt collections or vendor management
? Strong understanding of collections operations and performance analytics
? Experience managing external agencies and senior stakeholders
? Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
? Knowledge of NCA, POPIA, FICA, and Debt Collectors Act regulations
