Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance & Business Partnering
- Provide strategic financial leadership to the executive team.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Develop financial models and business cases to support growth initiatives and investments.
- Deliver meaningful financial insights to improve profitability and business performance.
- Partner with stakeholders to influence key commercial and operational decisions.
Financial Reporting & Corporate Governance
- Lead the full finance function, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial information.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Manage management accounts and executive reporting packs.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, statutory requirements, and financial regulations.
- Oversee the implementation and application of IFRS 15 and IFRS 16.
- Lead annual audits, tax compliance, VAT submissions, and statutory reporting.
Operational Finance Excellence
- Manage cash flow, working capital, treasury, and financial risk.
- Drive process optimisation, digitisation, and financial control improvements.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Support operational teams through financial analysis and performance management.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Strengthen financial governance and internal control environments.
- Foster strong relationships across all levels of the business.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
✔ CA(SA) or CIMA qualification (essential)✔ Postgraduate finance qualification advantageous
Experience
✔ 8+ years' experience in senior financial leadership roles✔ Proven experience managing a full finance function within a medium to large organisation
✔ Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise
✔ Hands-on experience with IFRS 15 and IFRS 16
✔ Extensive budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and cash flow management experience
✔ Track record of managing audits, tax, and regulatory compliance
✔ Healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical services, or related industry exposure advantageous
Technical Skills
✔ Advanced financial reporting and analysis✔ Strong IFRS and South African tax knowledge
✔ Advanced Excel skills
✔ ERP systems experience
✔ Process improvement and controls expertise
✔ Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
