Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This opportunity is ideal for a technically strong finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and thrives on delivering accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust controls, and supporting commercial decision-making.The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS and statutory requirements, and supporting a business operating within a complex, high-volume transaction environment. This role offers the flexibility of remote work while providing exposure to a growing and innovative business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and statutory reporting requirements
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
- Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements and external audits
- Oversee high-volume invoicing processes and ensure accuracy and completeness
- Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and reporting systems
- Partner with operational teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making
Job Experience and Skills Required
Education:- CA(SA) qualification (non-negotiable)
- 2–3 years' post-qualification experience
- Experience within a large revenue-generating business
- Exposure to high-volume transaction environments
- Proven experience managing or reviewing large-scale invoicing processes
- Experience within manufacturing, chemicals, engineering, industrial, or related sectors advantageous
- Strong IFRS knowledge
- Financial reporting and financial controls
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
