Job Summary
This role sits at the center of group reporting, IFRS compliance and governance, and will suit a qualified CA(SA) who prefers depth over breadth. Someone who enjoys being the technical authority behind accurate, compliant and consistent financial information in a multinational environment.
You’ll work closely with finance and operational teams, providing technical guidance, ensuring reporting integrity and supporting continuous improvement across reporting frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary technical accounting and IFRS reference point within the business
- Prepare, review and validate financial reports in line with group and statutory requirements
- Ensure balance sheet integrity through detailed reviews, reconciliations and controls
- Oversee lease accounting, posting logic and general ledger structures
- Monitor and review cash management processes and financial controls
- Support taxation reporting and statutory compliance processes
- Assist with internal and external audit requirements
- Contribute to governance, risk management and internal control enhancements
- Support B-BBEE reporting and related compliance initiatives
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- CA(SA) qualification (essential)
- 3–5 years’ experience, including articles
- Strong exposure to technical accounting and financial reporting
- Solid working knowledge of IFRS (non-negotiable)
- Experience in a multinational or large corporate environment advantageous
- SAP exposure beneficial
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable operating as a technical specialist rather than a generalist
