Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly & annual financial statements with the precision of a Swiss watchmaker
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Ensure strong compliance with Prudential Authority standards & IFRS
- Implement and monitor internal controls that even auditors will praise
- Manage cash flow, liquidity & capital requirements like the financial superhero you are
- Lead and mentor a growing finance team across multiple entities
- Partner with executives to drive profitability, efficiency & strategic decision-making
- Liaise with external auditors, actuaries, and other stakeholders
Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required
- BCom Accounting or similar
- CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA, CFA, CIPA (or equally impressive letters after your name) preferred
- 5–10+ years in financial or risk management, ideally in insurance
- Strong IFRS, consolidation & regulatory experience
- Understanding of insurance legislation, PA requirements & corporate governance
- Experience dealing with Boards, Audit & Risk Committees and external auditors
- Financial reporting & analysis mastery
- Excellent regulatory and IFRS understanding
- Analytical ability that borders on magical
- Strong communication & stakeholder engagement
- Proven leadership within finance teams
