Job Summary
Our client, a well-established player within the manufacturing and distribution sector, is seeking a dynamic Group Accountant to join their finance team.This opportunity offers exposure to complex group structures, multi-entity reporting, and strategic financial decision-making.
This role is ideal for a technically strong CA(SA) who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and is passionate about driving efficiencies and improving reporting accuracy. You will be working closely with senior leadership and have direct input into group-level financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute monthly group consolidations across multiple entities
- Analyse monthly financial results, including income statements and balance sheets
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements across the group
- Prepare and review group financial reports and submissions to stakeholders
- Oversee inter-company transactions and consolidation journals
- Liaise with auditors and manage audit processes and queries
- Drive process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy
- Support tax submissions, statutory reporting, and regulatory returns
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Education:
- CA(SA) non-negotiable
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 to 4 years' post-articles experience
- Proven experience in group reporting and consolidations
- Exposure to manufacturing or distribution environments advantageous
- Strong audit foundation (Big 4 exposure highly beneficial)
- Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of IFRS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP advantageous)
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
