Job Summary
Job Description:
The Financial Manager will take full ownership of the finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong governance, and effective financial control across the business. You will report directly to the Managing Director and play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making
Responsibilities include overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes, as well as managing cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure. You will monitor performance against budgets, analyse variances, and provide actionable insights to improve business outcomes.
You will manage consolidated reporting, prepare monthly management accounts, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements including VAT, PAYE, and tax submissions. The role also involves liaising with auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies while ensuring adherence to financial controls and company policies.
In addition, you will lead and develop the finance team, support strategic initiatives, perform business and profitability analysis, and drive continuous improvement across financial processes.
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5–10 years post-articles experience in a Financial Manager role
Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Proven track record managing a finance team
Experience with group reporting, financial analysis, and risk management
Exposure to international finance and Forex advantageous
Strong systems experience (SYSPRO essential)
Advanced Excel and reporting skills
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Qualification:
BCom Accounting / Finance (essential)
CA(SA) preferred
