Job Summary
This is a high-impact, hands-on executive role suited to a seasoned finance leader who thrives in complex, multi-entity environments and plays an active role in shaping business strategy.
The successful candidate will partner closely with the CEO and Board, balancing governance, growth, risk and performance across a diverse portfolio.
This is not a maintenance CFO position; it is a strategic leadership role focused on scale, performance and long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the CEO and executive team on strategic direction and business performance
- Provide financial and strategic leadership across multiple entities
- Lead and support M&A activity, including evaluation, due diligence and post-deal integration
- Oversee consolidated group reporting and ensure multi-entity compliance
- Strengthen governance frameworks, internal controls and risk management processes
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial planning at group level
- Drive working capital optimisation and cash flow strategy
- Ensure taxation, statutory and regulatory compliance
- Lead and develop senior finance leadership teams
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- CA(SA) qualification (non-negotiable)
- 10–12 years’ experience in financial management
- Minimum 5+ years at executive / CFO level
- Proven experience within the services industry
- Strong M&A exposure and transaction experience
- Board and Exco-level engagement experience
- Deep understanding of consolidated, multi-entity reporting structures
- Commercially sharp, decisive and influential leadership style
