Job Summary
This is a strategic role suited to a CA(SA) with proven Board exposure and the ability to influence business direction at the highest level. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping financial strategy, strengthening governance and driving sustainable growth across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the CEO and Board on strategic direction and decision-making
- Lead the full finance function, including reporting, planning and controls
- Provide strategic financial insights to support business growth and profitability
- Ensure strong governance, risk management and internal control frameworks
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
- Manage cash flow, working capital and capital allocation
- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax and regulatory requirements
- Lead external audit processes and manage stakeholder relationships
- Drive process improvements, efficiencies and financial best practices
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- CA(SA) qualification (non-negotiable)
- Minimum 8 years’ post-articles experience
- At least 3 years’ Board-level experience
- Proven experience within manufacturing, production or services environments
- Strong leadership and executive presence
- Demonstrated ability to influence at Board and executive level
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking ability
- Experience in managing complex finance functions
