The Opportunity

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll take responsibility for the end-to-end accounting cycle, ensuring financial integrity across the business. This includes:

• Managing general ledger transactions and maintaining accurate financial records
  
• Driving the full reconciliation process across bank, creditors, petty cash, and balance sheet accounts
  
• Overseeing cash flow forecasting and day-to-day liquidity management
  
• Processing supplier invoices and managing creditor relationships
  
• Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts
  
• Handling inter-company transactions and multi-entity consolidations
  
• Managing VAT submissions and ensuring statutory compliance
  
• Maintaining the fixed asset register and supporting audit requirements
  
• Partnering with auditors and responding to audit queries
  
• Supporting payroll accounting and broader finance team deliverables
  
• Ensuring strong financial controls and compliance across processes
  
• Getting involved in stock controls and operational finance checks where required
  

This environment operates across multiple entities and currencies, so exposure to complexity and volume is key.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

Minimum Requirements:

• BCom degree (Honours advantageous)
  
• Completed articles (SAICA/SAIPA or equivalent)
  
• 4–8 years’ experience in a financial accounting role
  
• Strong Excel skills and overall systems proficiency
  
• Experience working on accounting systems (Accpac experience essential)
  
• Exposure to multi-entity and/or multi-currency environments
