Job Summary
Hire Resolve are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our growing client's insurance team in Centurion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, preferably in the insurance industry, and be able to effectively manage all financial activities within the organization. The role involves some remote opportunity, with travel involved.Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies and plans to ensure the long-term financial stability of the organization
- Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
- Analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations to senior management
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Manage the internal control systems and recommend improvements to enhance financial performance
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial operations and achieve strategic objectives
- Monitor financial performance and identify trends and opportunities for growth
- Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals
- Play a key role in strategic planning and decision-making processes
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments to inform financial strategies and initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g. CA, CTA, Hons) preferred
- 5+ years of experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in the insurance industry
- Strong knowledge of insurance financial reporting and regulatory requirements
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in financial systems and software, including Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management
- Strong leadership and management capabilities
- Willingness to travel as required
