Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit all statutory returns including SARS (EMP201, VAT201, IRP6, Income Tax), UIF, provident funds, and regulatory submissions
- Compile and distribute monthly management accounts, including VAT reconciliations, IT14SD reconciliations, and related party reporting
- Manage the full payroll function, including salary processing, inter-company transactions, and payroll journals
- Oversee financial records and journals using financial systems such as Pastel/Palladium
- Prepare monthly cashflows, review files, and assist with annual financial statements and independent reviews
- Handle SARS eFiling queries and maintain Tax Compliance Status
- Ensure full financial compliance across multiple entities within the group structure
- Present monthly financial reports to the board and provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional qualification (CA(SA) or equivalent) is highly advantageous
Experience:- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Financial Management role
- Proven experience managing multi-entity or group structures
- Strong background in tax compliance, payroll, and statutory reporting
- Experience in preparing management accounts and board-level reporting
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capability
Skills & Technical Requirements:- Advanced proficiency in Pastel/Palladium and payroll systems
- Strong knowledge of South African tax legislation and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
