Our client, an established wine estate with operations across wine production, hospitality, tourism and property, requires a Bookkeeper / Financial Administrator to manage daily bookkeeping and financial administration across multiple entities.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcess supplier invoices, accounts payable, customer invoices and debtor accounts, including daily transaction processing and reconciliations between Lightspeed (iKentoo) and Xero.
Import and reconcile bank statements, supplier statements, payment platforms, credit cards, expenses and petty cash.
Process VAT and EMP201 journals, weekly wages and monthly payroll.
Complete intercompany and loan account reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes.
Prepare monthly management reports and financial dashboards, maintain supporting records, and liaise with accountants, auditors and service providers.
Minimum RequirementsA relevant bookkeeping, accounting or finance qualification.
At least three years’ practical bookkeeping experience.
Strong Xero experience and sound knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls.
Payroll processing experience, together with strong reconciliation and financial administration skills.
Ability to work accurately and independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Advantageous ExperienceBookkeeping and financial administration across multiple business entities.
Wine production, hospitality, tourism, restaurant or property industry experience.
Lightspeed (iKentoo), Dineplan and Psiber Payroll.
SnapScan, Yoco and SARS eFiling.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel.
