Job Summary
An Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, analyzing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. They play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of an organization by accurately recording and analyzing financial information.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the control of the company's CISA accounts receivable
- Management of the company's CISA accounts payable.
- Assisting the company in issuing various financial statements for CISA.
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and organize financial records, including ledgers, journals and accounts payable/receivable.
- Financial Statements: Prepare and analyze financial statements (such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements) to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in developing budgets, monitoring expenditures, and providing insights for future financial planning.
- Taxation: Compute taxes owed, prepare tax returns, and ensure compliance with tax regulations. Provide guidance on tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Auditing: Collaborate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks. Provide recommendations based on analysis to improve financial performance.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, regulations, and company procedures.
- Software and Systems: Utilize accounting software to manage financial transactions, data, and reporting effectively.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification is often preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
- Analytical skills for interpreting complex financial information
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Communication skills for collaborating with various teams and explaining financial information.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
